I bought this as per my doctor's prescription. This supplement effectively raises my blood pressure—something I don't typically enjoy since I prefer avoiding pills. However, it worked well for me, and I take one tablet twice daily.

Blood pressure concern

I am a huge fan of this potent herb; however, after taking 240 mg daily for over a year, I must stop. I suspect it could be the cause of my high blood pressure. Has anyone else experienced this effect from Rhodiola?

Not suitable for low cortisol. I tried this in 2015 and felt terrible—very fatigued, weak, anxious, with air hunger and a shaky, low blood sugar feeling each time I took it. I persisted for a week, but it only exacerbated my condition, which led me to stop. At that time, I was unaware that my cortisol levels were below normal, as confirmed by subsequent testing. The studies I reviewed on PubMed regarding Rhodiola indicate it exclusively lowers cortisol, rather than raises it. This product was unsuitable for me.

Improved energy

This adaptogen, from a reputable company, has been a great find for improving energy without raising blood pressure. Some mornings, even without having started my day, I feel tired. After breakfast, I take two Rhodiola tablets, and within an hour or two, I truly notice an increase in energy, allowing me to accomplish necessary tasks. My mood also seems calmer and more positive. I have ordered a second bottle and plan to take it regularly until summer. I recommend it to anyone facing similar energy issues.
